One of only two "double-landlocked" countries in the world I decided to visit Liechtenstein in my attempt to polish off all of Europe's countries. An early start saw me on the 05.37 DLR to City Airport where the BA flight to Zurich starts. From Zurich it's a train ride to Sargans and then a bus to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. The border is just a bridge over the river, no stopping and by 11.45 I was in Vaduz and had 3 hours to look around. This was enough time to see everything twice and have a pizza and a couple of local beers. Then reversing the journey I was back home some 14 hours after leaving. Country number 81 in the bag.
The Schloss (or castle) sits overlooking the town.
